Research: The aim of my PhD project is to elucidate the biotic and abiotic factors that determine spatial distribution and temporal changes of the onion thrips, Thrips tabaci Lindeman (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) species complex in relevant horticultural crops. To achieve these goals novel DNA barcoding and informatics techniques are being applied.
